Environmentally Responsible Mining Practices

Across the jewelry business, we strive to observe the highest ethical standards. We work to ensure that our gold and metals come from suppliers that meet the highest human rights, social, and environmental criteria. We engage suppliers to influence the sourcing of gold products. We research mining, refinement, and manufacturing practices of gold that moves through the supply chain.We give preference to suppliers that source gold from mines that observe high standards of environmental stewardship. In concert with our suppliers, we commit to increased gold sourcing from recycled and secondary sources. We are striving toward continuous improvement.

At Bashert Jewelry, we work with all recycled and recyclable materials. We are trying to implement environment safe and conscious materials and practices in all stages of the creative process - from the gold used to create our jewelry pieces, ( It is a fact that goldsmiths and jewelers have, since the beginning of their craft, been the “original” recycling industry. The vast majority of the world’s gold has been recycled countless times over.) Our business cards are made from cotton rather than paper and all our stationary and packaging is as environmentally friendly as possible.  At Bashert Jewelry, we always had an appreciation of the world around us.
